Richard Russell. Everything is Recorded.

Released in February of this year, this is my favourite album for months. It is warm,
confident, abstract and full of amazing tunes. I can’t stop listening to it. It floats from soul to baritone new-country, spoken word to pure pop.

Much of the subject matter is death, but in an uplifting way. Everything is Recorded is a project of producer and A & R man extraordinaire Richard Russell and there are star turns from some of the many icons in his contact list including Sampha, Bill Callahan and Florence + The Machine. There are some outstanding new voices, too. All in all, this is a wonderful record.
