Pedlar's Guide To The Great Outdoors Book

This was published in 2012 by Random House and then reprinted the following year as The Family Guide to the Great Outdoors.
 
Here we have the original hardback with cloth cover and elastic to hold the end leaves. It’s our guide to entertaining and educating all ages in the countryside, and is based on our experience of bringing up our six children at Glen Dye. There’s a lot here; campfire cooking, navigating, knowing your trees, tickling trout, chopping wood, communicating with smoke signals. That sort of thing.

Anyway, it’s our book -with a lovely cover, great photos and illustrations by our long term collaborator Matt Blease - about how to have fun and learn interesting things in the countryside with children. And 13 years on we remain super proud of it. In many ways it’s about our experience of bringing up our six children in the Highlands with contributions from various experts.
