British Wool Blanket

The design of these beautiful blankets is based on a traditional horse blanket which has been in the family for years. The blues of the blue stripes have been chosen to echo the blues of the midnight sky, and the colours of the multi stripe are inspired by British wild flowers.

These blankets have been made exclusively for us in a small family run mill in the Scottish Borders, using traditional looms. The weave is an intricate herringbone, which gives the blankets their beautiful texture. The yarns are all 100%  British wool, spun and dyed in a family mill in Saddleworth, Yorkshire. Each blanket has been carefully blanket-stitched at both ends, using a contrast colour from one of the stripes. Use them as an accent on a bed, a sofa, to spread out for a family picnic, or to wrap round yourself on a chilly evening.
