Cecil Beaton; A Family Archive
Gladstone / Hellen and Hawarden Estate Holidays present a rolling exhibition featuring hundreds of previously unseen family photographs, paintings, drawings and ephemera at Hawarden Castle from April 28th 2025 until Spring 2026.
The exhibition is open to guests of The West End of Hawarden Castle (via Hawarden Estate Holidays) and by appointment in the Gladstone / Hellen Studio at Hawarden Castle. It will run for a year, exhibiting an often changing collection and involving immersive responses to Beaton’s work by contemporary figures. Beaton was Charlie Gladstone’s great uncle and a regular visitor to Hawarden. Charlie’s maternal grandmother Baba was Cecil’s sister and early muse.
